There are so many Internet Speeds. Which one is right for me?

Megabits per second (Mbps) tells you how much you can do at one moment with your internet connection(like how many TVs and devices can be streaming right now, without any of them buffering). Each device that each person in the home has online will use some of your total bandwidth.

Different from bandwidth is your Data. The Data is the total amount of data you can use for the whole month. Some companies will restrict the total data, but we do not. At Amherst Communications you will have UNLIMITED DATA on all of our internet plans.

Download speed is used when your computer gets information from the internet, such as streaming and viewing websites. Upload speed is used when you send information onto the internet, such as video chatting and uploading documents from home to google docs.
